MARSHALL, Minn. - The Southwest Minnesota State tennis team extended its winning streak to four matches as the Mustangs picked up a 5-4 win over Minnesota State Moorhead on Saturday morning in Marshall.
SMSU improves to 5-12 (4-6 NSIC); MSUM drops to 4-6 (3-4 NSIC).
Doubles play went the Mustangs' way as the host team took two of three in that portion of the match.
SMSU's No. 2 doubles pair of
Cailey Grupe and
Trisha Baldwin took an 8-3 decision from MSUM's Emily Delaney and Ellie Matheson.
Danielle Hildebrandt and
Angie Wiegmann were also winners from their No. 3 doubles spot.
Ananda Ferrari, Hildebrandt and Baldwin also picked up win in singles play to help seal the Mustang victory.
SMSU will travel to Northern State tomorrow to meet the Wolves in a 1 p.m. conference match.
