MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The No. 7 seed Southwest Minnesota State team opened the 2009 NSIC team championship with a 5-4 victory over No. 2 seed Upper Iowa Saturday morning at the Baseline Tennis Club in Minneapolis, Minn.
SMSU won four of its six singles matches en route to the mild upset.
