MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The No. 7 seed Southwest Minnesota State team lost 5-2 to No. 3 seed Minnesota State, Mankato in the semifinals of the NSIC team championships at the Baseline Tennis Club in Minneapolis, Minn.

SMSU will play for third place on Sunday morning at 11:30 a.m. versus Winona State.

SMSU opened the 2009 NSIC team championship with a 5-4 victory over No. 2 seed Upper Iowa Saturday morning.
