ST. PAUL, Minn.- By winning their doubles match and each of their singles matches
Cailey Grupe and
Trisha Baldwin helped lead the Southwest Minnesota tennis team to a 5-4 win over Bethel Satuday in St. Paul.
SMSU improves to 9-8 (5-5 NSIC), while Bethel drops to 3-12.
The duo won their match over Lisa Scheevel and Steph Brown in a 8-4 decision. Grupe won her singles match 6-1, 6-4 over Ashley Dohlen from the No. 3 position, while Baldwin defeated Heather Ritger 6-2, 5-7, 10-8 from No. 4.
SMSU also earned wins from Lisa Murakami at the No. 1 singles spot when she defeated Scheevel 6-3, 6-2, and
Danielle Hildebrandt who defeated Brown 6-4, 7-5.
The Mustangs will take on Winona State tomorrow in St. Cloud, Minn., at 2 p.m.
