MINNEAPOLIS - St. Cloud State defeated Southwest Minnesota State 6-0 in the opening round of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon at the Baseline Tennis Club in Minneapolis.

SMSU finishes its season with a 9-11 record.

The Huskies dominated play in doubles action; SMSU's No. 1 duo of Cailey Grupe and Trisha Baldwin fared the best, falling 8-6 to Jacquelyn Doll and Kelly Freese. 

SCSU locked up three wins--all in straight sets--in singles play to cut the match short.
