MINNEAPOLIS - The Southwest Minnesota State women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match on Saturday to Winona State in Minneapolis.

Winona State swept the Mustangs winning all six singles matches and all three doubles matches to defeat the Mustangs 9-0.

The three doubles matches were all close contests as Warriors took first doubles 8-6 before winning second and third doubles 8-5.

Cailey Grupe and Trisha Baldwin lost 8-6 to Heather Pierce and Leah Dahl.

SMSU is now 2-6 overall, 2-4 NSIC.  The Mustangs continue non-conference action next week in Phoenix, Ariz.
