OWATONNA, Minn. - Upper Iowa University, which is ranked No. 47 in the country and No. 2 in the Central Region defeated Southwest Minnesota State (3-9, 2-4 NSIC) 8-1 in NSIC tennis action on Saturday afternoon. The Peacocks (9-5, 7-1 NSIC) won all six singles matches and two out of three doubles matches to down the Mustangs.

Cailey Grupe and
Trisha Baldwin paired up to give the Mustangs a win at No. 1 doubles in an 8-4 win over Amanda Nunez and Karli Loewecke. The Peacocks would go on to win the next two doubles matches before sweeping all six singles competitions.
Southwest Minnesota State will continue NSIC action tomorrow morning taking on Minnesota State beginning at 9 a.m. at the Swanson Tennis Center in St. Peter, Minn.
