FARGO, N.D. - The Southwest Minnesota State tennis team picked-up its first Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match victory of the 2013 season with a 6-3 win over MSU Moorhead on Saturday afternoon. The Mustangs followed with a 6-3 loss to the University of Mary and 7-2 loss to the University of Sioux Falls to wrap-up the weekend.

The win over MSU Moorhead was SMSU's first NSIC match victory since March 27, 2011.

Crystal Overbaugh was perfect in singles matches over the weekend, finishing 3-0 by defeating MSU Moorhead's Cassie Smith, UMary's Kate O'Connell and USF's Stacy Beard. Overbaugh teamed up with Katie Kienitz to defeat MSUM's Morgan Smith and Cassie Smith in doubles action.

SMSU (2-7), is done with action during the month of March and will return to action with NSIC matches on April 6-7 versus Minnesota Duluth, Minnesota State and Upper Iowa at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn.
