MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's tennis team opens Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action on Friday taking on Minnesota State University in Owatonna, Minn.
 
The match will begin at 7 p.m. and will take place at the West Hills Tennis & Fitness Center. SMSU will be looking to break a 13-match losing streak versus MSU. SMSU's last win in the series came during the 1998 season.
 
SMSU (0-1) opened its season last Sunday with a 9-0 loss at the University of St. Thomas.
