DULUTH, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's tennis team resumed NSIC play on Saturday suffering an 8-1 loss to Minnesota Duluth at the Arrowhead Tennis Center.
 
UMD improves to 3-9 overall, 3-4, while SMSU drops to 1-13, 0-8 NSIC.
 
SMSU picked up its lone point at No. 5 single as Britney Thompson earned a 6-4, 7-6 win over Kelsey Zetah.
 
SMSU had a pair of tight matches at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Gabby Tellijohn and Crystal Overbaugh dropped an 8-5 match at No. 1, while Thompson and Hoehne fell 8-6 at No. 2 doubles.
 
Southwest Minnesota State concludes weekend action tomorrow in Duluth with a 9 a.m. match versus St. Cloud State.
