DULUTH, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State women's tennis team wrapped up its weekend action today with an 8-1 loss to St. Cloud State in NSIC play at the Arrowhead Tennis Center.
SMSU (1-14, 0-9 NSIC) picked up its lone point at No. 1 doubles as
Gabby Tellijohn and
Crystal Overbaugh earned an 8-3 victory.
At No. 2 doubles,
Ashley Hoehne and
Britney Thompson dropped at tough match by an 8-3 score.
In singles play, Tellijohn battled at No. 1, but lost 7-5, 6-2.
Southwest Minnesota State concludes the season next Sunday, April 10, in Owatonna, Minn., facing Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston.
