WINONA, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State women's tennis team dropped its fourth straight match on Sunday, falling 9-0 to Upper Iowa at the Winona Tennis Center.

UIU (4-0, 4-0 NSIC) won in straight sets in five of six singles matches.
Britney Thompson at No. 4 singles earned a 6-1 win in set one, but then loss 7-5, 1-0 (12-10) in set two and three respectively.

UIU earned an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles, defeating SMSU's
Gabby Tellijohn and
Paige Janka. SMSU's No. 2 doubles of
Hannah Starke and Thompson loss 8-4, while Bittany Soupir and
Jenna Gannott also dropped an 8-4 match at No. 3 doubles.

SMSU, which drops to 2-6 overall, 0-4 in NSIC play, will return to the court on Friday, Feb. 24, facing MSU Moorhead in Sioux Falls, S.D.
