MARSHALL, Minn. - The Southwest Minnesota State University women's tennis team will look to snap a four-match losing streak this weekend with a pair of NSIC matches in Sioux Falls, S.D.
SMSU (2-6, 0-4 NSIC) opened the conference season the past two weekends taking on three of the top four teams in the NSIC. The three teams are a combined 12-0 in NSIC matches.
SMSU faces MSU Moorhead (2-3, 1-3 NSIC) on Friday starting at 12 p.m. at Huether Family Match Pointe. The Mustangs conclude the weekend on Sunday morning battling the University of Mary (0-4, 0-4 NSIC) at the Great Lift Woodlake Athletic Club at 8:30.
Junior
Gabby Tellijohn leads the squad with three victories at No. 1 singles, while
Jenna Gannott also has amassed three victories at No. 5 singles.
In doubles play, Tellijohn and
Paige Janka have earned three wins at No. 1.
