LAKEVILLE, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State women's tennis team returned to Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action on Friday night with a 9-0 loss to Bemidji State at Lifetime Fitness.
 
SMSU, 5-12, 1-8 NSIC, played a pair of tight doubles matches as Gabby Tellijohn and Cora Delich dropped a 9-7 decision at No. 1 doubles, while Gabby Potthoff and Hannah Starke lost 8-6 at No. 3 doubles.
 
SMSU was swept in straight sets in all six singles matches.
 
Southwest Minnesota State returns to play on Saturday with a 4 p.m. match versus Minnesota Crookston at Lifetime Fitness in Lakeville.
