LAKEVILLE, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State women's tennis team snapped a three-match losing streak on Saturday with a 9-0 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference victory over Minnesota Crookston at Lifetime Fitness.

SMSU improves to 6-12 overall, 2-9 NSIC, while UMC drops to 0-13 overall, 0-11 NSIC.

SMSU won in straight sets in all six singles matches.
Paige Janka (No. 5) and
Jenna Gannott (No. 6) both won by scores of 6-0, 6-0, while
Cora Delich (No. 2),
Olivia Watzke (No. 3) and
Hannah Starke (No. 4) all won by scores of 6-1, 6-0.
Gabby Tellijohn at No. 1 singles earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory.

Delich and Tellijohn won 8-5 at No. 1 doubles, with Watzke and Janka picking up an 8-2 win at No. 2, while Starke and
Gabby Potthoff won 8-0 at No. 3.

Southwest Minnesota State concludes its season next Sunday with an NSIC match versus Minnesota State and a non-conference match versus Gustavus Adolphus. Both matches will take play on the campus of GAC in St. Peter, Minnesota.
