ST. PETER, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State women's tennis team dropped two matches against St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth, both by scores of 4-3 on Saturday on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus College.  
 
SMSU now 6-7 overall and 1-5 in the NSIC following today's action.
                                                  
In singles competition, Fatima Murphy and Hannah Starke earned the only victories on the singles side.
 
In doubles competition, the Starke and Cora Delich defeated SCSU's Samantha Fitzpatrick and Olivia Fredrickson duo.
 
Olivia Watzke and Gabby Pothoff also earned victories over Claire Olson and Ann Marie White.
 
SMSU dropped the next match 4-3 against Minnesota Duluth with two victories in the single competition from Cora Delich and Fatima Murphy.
 
Fatima Murphy and Paige Janka picked up their first victory in doubles while the Starke/Delich duo continued their undefeated day in doubles.
 
Southwest Minnesota State continues action next Saturday, March 3, against Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State in Bemidji, Minn.
