SMSU women's tennis announces signing

MARSHALL, Minn. – Southwest Minnesota State University head women's tennis coach Jon Parker announced on Thursday Maja Louisa Harck from Harrislee, Germany, has signed a letter of intent to continue her academic and tennis career at SMSU.
 
Harck is a 2020 graduate of Duborg-Skolen High School and has had a solid junior career in both Germany and Denmark, placing high in numerous regional tournament. She was a first place regional champion in the U18 division during the 2019 season and placed second in the regional tournament in women's division in both 2019 and 2020.Ostsee Cup
 
"Maja Louisa will be a tremendous addition to the Mustang family," Parker said. "She has a very strong tennis background and her academics fit perfectly with our university and I'm very excited to get Maja Louisa on campus."
 
Harck is the first student-athlete to sign with the SMSU women's tennis program for the 2020-21 season. SMSU head coach Jon Parker recently completed his first season after being named to the position in January.  
 
Southwest Minnesota State University, located in Marshall, is a member of NCAA Division II and competes in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
