SMSU womens cross country places 13th at NSIC Championships

WAYNE, Neb. – The Southwest Minnesota State women's cross-country team placed 13th out of 16 teams at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships held on Saturday morning at the Wayne Country Club.
 
Augustana won the team title with 56 points with Minnesota State taking home second place with 68 points. Lindsay Cunningham from Winona State won the individual title with a time of 20:22. SMSU closed the meet with 390 points.
 
Caitlyn Regan led the Mustangs in the 6,000-meter race with a time of 25:47 to place 88th overall.
 
Macie Langstraat closed the race placing 96th with a time of 26:04, while Catherine Ihrke followed, placing 97th with a time of 26:06.
 
Natalie Jorschumb finished 107th with a time of 26:37; Hannah Koepfinger ran 27:05 to finish 114th;  Savanna Busch placed 121st with a time of 27:44; Kyra Kusnierek finished in 124th place with a time of 27:57, while Josephine Lentz ran 28:02 to finish 127th.
