MARSHALL, Minn. - The Southwest Minnesota State University women's tennis team opens the 2022 spring season this Saturday with two non-conference matches in Rogers, Minn.

SMSU, under third-year head coach
Jon Parker, will face Bethel University at 1 p.m. before facing Hamline University at 4 p.m. with both matches held at the Rogers Tennis Center.

SMSU finished the fall season with a dual record of 4-1. This weekend's two matches are the first of 20 the Mustangs are scheduled to play this spring. The NSIC Championships will be held on April 23-24 in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Parker has 11 players on the 2022 spring roster with two seniors, two juniors, two sophomores and five freshmen.

SMSU is 4-8 all-time versus Bethel and will be meeting the Royals for the first time since the 2017 season. SMSU is 7-10 all-time versus Hamline with the Mustangs winning the previous match-up in 2017.
