BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Southwest Minnesota State University junior
Sally Gallagher has been named to the 2022 women's golf All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference second team as selected by the conference coaches announced on Sunday.
Gallagher, a native of Moville, Iowa, earns All-NSIC honors for the first time in her career. She is one of 12 golfers named either first or second team All-NSIC.
Gallagher led SMSU this season with an 81.7 stroke average in 20 rounds ranking as the 10
th best in program single-season history. In 10 events this season, she placed in the Top 20 seven times, earned two Top 5 finishes, including taking home medalist honors at the SMSU Challenge on March 10.
She finished the season with six rounds of sub-80, including a season-low 3-under-par 75 in the first round of the SMSU EverSpring Inn & Suites Mustang Invite on Sept. 25, 2021.
Gallagher, a 2019 graduate of Woodbury Central High School, ranks eighth in team history with an 84.1 average in 44 career rounds.
