BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's golf team closed out the Central Region Fall Preview in 12th place of the 16-team tournament with a 60-over-par 636 at the Adams Pointe Golf Club.
Jacqueline Gossen led the Mustangs on Wednesday with an 8-over 80, finishing in a tie for 47th overall with a two-day total of 15-over 159.
Danielle Podoll shot a 9-over 81 to finish tied for 47th with Gossen at 15-over 159.
Sally Gallagher was the highest finisher for SMSU, placing in a tie for 37th with a 13-over 157 after a 10-over 82 on day two.
Lauryn Driscoll closed her tournament with a 12-over 84, bringing her total to 17-over 161 and tying her for 53rd.
Courtni Frank would shoot a 13-over 85 on Wednesday, giving her a 27-over 171 for the tournament.
Faviola Gonzalez of Nebraska-Kearney and Chiara Sturaro of Arkansas-Monticello tied for first place, shooting 3-under 141. Henderson State won the team title after shooting a 3-under 573.
Southwest Minnesota State returns to action on Sept. 17-18 competing at the Tipsinah Mounds Invite at Tipsinah Mounds Golf Course in Elbow Lake, Minn.
