MANKATO, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's and men's track & field teams concluded day one of the NSIC Indoor Championships on Saturday at Myers Field House on the campus of Minnesota State University.
For the men's team,
Carl Swedzinski finished in seventh place in the weight throw with a mark of 17.48m.
Tyler Nebelung placed 11
th with a distance of 16.28m.
Hunter Smith placed ninth in the pole vault at 4.32m.
Nathan Lear earned a 14
th place distance of 6.36m in the long jump, while
Junior Kandolo finished 17
th at 6.24m.
On the women's side,
Shealyn Tom reached the podium with a tie for eighth place in the pole vault with a height of 3.41m. Sarena Schwartz finished at 2.96m to finish 23
rd overall.
Nadia Sanford finished 10
th overall in the weight throw at 16.11m, with
Emily Lorentz placing 23
rd at 14.58, and
Morgan Hughes in 26
th at 13.64m.
Taytum Klink closed the long jump at 5.13m to finish 21
st overall.
Sierra Clifford qualified for Sunday's final in the 600-meters with a sixth-place time of 1:38.35.
The final day of the NSIC Championships begin on Sunday at 9 a.m.
