MANKATO, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's and men's track & field teams wrapped-up competition at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference indoor championships with a pair of Mustang athletes earning All-NSIC honors while breaking multiple school records on Saturday. 

The SMSU women's team closed the meet placing eighth overall, which is the highest the women's program has placed at the NSIC championships, scoring 21 points, while the men's team scored 13.5 points to place 10th overall. 

On Saturday, SMSU's Nadia Sanford recorded a toss of 13.54m to place second in the shot put to earn All-NSIC honors. 

Tyler Smith also earned All-NSIC accolades with a second-place finish in the 600-meters crossing the line with a time of 1:21.76. 

Sierra Clifford set a school record in the women's 600-meter with a time of 1:37.16 to finish sixth.  

Macie Langstraat placed fifth in the women's 1,000-meter with a time of 3:03.23. 

Christine Sleeter had a strong day as well finishing sixth in the high jump at 1.68m, just shy of a school record. 

Jack Clark finished with 4,356 points in the men's heptathlon events setting a new school record for total points. 

SMSU's 4x400 relay team of Clifford, Brooke Wetterstrom, Ella Doble and Kyra Kusnierek finished seventh overall crossing the line with a school record time of 4:00.34. 

The men's team had Ryan Kronbach finish fifth in the high jump with a mark of 1.96m.
