ST. PAUL, Minn. – The third and final day of the 2023 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Concordia-St. Paul, ended Saturday evening at Sea Foam Stadium.
Sierra Clifford placed fourth in the 400-meter run and was able to break her own school record in the 400, completing the run in a time of 57.01.
Clifford also competed alongside
Lexy Gilbert,
Taytum Klink and
Emily Van Roekel in the 4x100 relay. The quartet finished the race in a time of 48.88 to place tenth.
Clifford and Van Roekel were joined by
Macie Langstraat and
Hannah Koepfinger in the 4x400, where the team finished seventh with a time of 4:00.13.
Kate Battaforyen had a distance of 40.55m in the discus throw to place ninth.
The women's team finished 13th overall at the NSIC Outdoor Championship.
On the men's team,
Max Schmitt ran a personal best in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.34 to place second and earn All-NSIC honors.
Schmitt was joined by
Tyler Smith,
Nathan Lear and
Luke Grannes in the 4x100 relay, where the group placed eighth with a time of 43.21.
Deekon Anvid placed fourth in the discus throw with a distance of 47.74m.
Grannes placed tied for eighth in the pole vault, clearing a height of 3.95m.
Overall, the men's team placed 11th at the NSIC Outdoor Championship.
