BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's golf team closed out the Central Region Fall Preview on Wednesday shooting a 47-over-par 335 for a two-round total of 87-over 663 to finish in 15th place at the 17-team tournament played at the Adams Pointe Golf Club.
Due to golf statistical program issues, individual results won't be available until Thursday.
Jacqueline Gossen led the Mustangs during both rounds of the tournament, shooting an 11-over 83 on Wednesday for an 18-over 162
Berkley Steffen and
Ashley Trongard both carded scores of 12-over 84 on Wednesday with Steffen closing the tournament at 21-over 165, while Trongard finished at 22-over 166.
Isabella Jacobs improved by two strokes in the final round to shoot a 12-over 84 and finish with a two-round score of 26-over 170.
Meghan Pundsack shot a 19-over 91 on Wednesday and concluded play with a 44-over 188.
SMSU will have more than two weeks off before returning to action on Sept. 30-Oct. 1 hosting the annual EverSpring Inn & Suites Mustang Invite at the Marshall Golf Club.
