Mustang men's cross country places 13th at NSIC Championships

MINOT, N.D. - The Southwest Minnesota State men's cross-country team placed 13th recording 417 points at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships held on Saturday morning at the Souris Valley Golf Course. 

Augustana won the team title with 31 points followed by MSU Moorhead with 70 points. Ryan Hartman from Augustana won the individual title with a time of 23:49. 

The Mustangs had six runners compete in the men's race with four of them finishing with personal best time. 

Seth Torgerson led the Mustangs in the 8,000-meter race placing 85th overall with a time of 26:22, a personal best.  

Carter Schwalbe closed the race placing 110th with a time of 27:17, with Logan Roelofs finishing 117th at 27:36. Roel Palomo ran 28:47 to place 126th, with Elliot Hoffman placing 128th at 29:23 with Daniel Olson right behind at 129th at 29:41.
