Sean Howk coming in at No. 20 this week.

SERIES HISTORY
• Thursday will be the 55th meeting between the two teams, with the Dragons holding a 27-26-1 advantage in the all-time series, which began in 1983.
• SMSU defeated MSUM last season at home by a final score of 30-8.
• The Mustangs have won seven of the last 10 matches dating back to the 2014 season.
• SMSU is 15-18-1 all-time on the road versus MSUM.
LAST WEEK
• SMSU finished a highly competitive five-team dual tournament at home with an 0-4 record last Saturday.
• The Mustangs hosted (RV) Minot State, (RV) Fort Hays State (Kan.), No. 24 Upper Iowa, and No. 5 (NCAA DIII) Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
• SMSU fell in the first round to Minot State 25-18, dropped its dual to Fort Hays State 28-14 in the second round, fell 36-2 to the No. 24 Peacocks in the fourth round, before suffering a 34-9 loss to the No. 5 Blugolds in the fifth round.

Sean Howk led the Mustangs with his 4-0 effort on the day, winning three matches via decision and one by major decision.

Adam Sylvester also picked up a pair of wins on Saturday, defeating Dom Howlett of Minot State via 13-5 major decision before claiming a 10-5 decision victory over FHSU's Matthew Rodriguez.

Dylan Louwagie was the third Mustang to pick up at least two wins on Saturday. Louwagie earned a 16-0 tech fall over Kevin Honas of Fort Hays before claiming a 4-2 decision victory over UWEC's Bo Niewiadomski.

MSU MOORHEAD NOTES
• MSUM enters the week 5-2 overall and 1-2 in NSIC duals after earning a 23-16 road victory over Minot State on Jan. 16.
• The Dragons, picked to finish in a tie for ninth in the preseason poll, currently sit in a tie for sixth in the NSIC standings with UMary.
