MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University Athletics Department will be hosting a Winter Sports Kickoff social on Monday, Nov. 10, inside the R/A Facility on the campus of SMSU.
 
The social, with snacks and beverages provided, begins at 5 p.m. and will be followed by a short program starting at 5:30 p.m. SMSU Director of Athletics, Travis Whipple, will provide an update on Mustang Athletics, while SMSU winter student-athletes will be in attendance to share their outlooks on the season and meet with Mustang fans.
 
The event is a great way for Mustang fans to interact with Mustang coaches, staff and student-athletes and watch the Mustang women's and men's basketball team practice. The social will also provide fans an opportunity to see the new court/floor inside the R/A Facility which was recently replaced following the July flooding on campus.
 
SMSU Athletics would also like to remind fans that single-game and season tickets for the winter season are available for purchase at SMSUmustangs.com/tickets. SMSU Athletics staff will be on hand Monday night to answer questions and assist fans with purchasing tickets on the SMSU ticketing platform, GoFan.
