MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's and men's track & field teams open the indoor season on Friday competing at the Minnesota State University Chuck Petersen Open inside Myer Field House in Mankato.
 
The meet begins with multi events at 12 p.m. with field events starting at 3 p.m. and running events at 4:30 p.m.
 
SMSU is scheduled to compete in six meets this season in preparation for the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Indoor Championships on Feb. 27-28 in Mankato.
 
Following this weekend, SMSU will return to action on Jan. 24, 2026, at the Wayne State NCAA Showdown in Wayne, Neb.
