MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's and men's track and field teams will travel to Mankato, Minn., tomorrow and Saturday competing at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Indoor Championships at Myers Field House on the campus of Minnesota State University.
 
The heptathlon begins at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, followed by field events starting at 12 p.m. and running events at 1 p.m.
 
Action continues on Saturday with the pentathlon starting at 9 a.m., field events beginning at 1 p.m. and running events getting underway at 1:30 p.m. The team awards presentation is expected to take place at 6:25 p.m.
 
All-NSIC performers consist of the top three place winners in each event and the members of the top two relay teams from the meet. A total of 14 schools will compete for the women's championship, while the men's championship field will include 11 teams.
 
At the 2024 NSIC Indoor Championship, SMSU finished 11^th on the women's side, while the SMSU men's team also finished 11th overall. The SMSU women's team had two All-NSIC performers with Nadia Sanford placing second in the shot put, while Sierra Clifford finished third in the 600 meters.
