BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's golf team closed its first tournament of the 2025-26 season on Wednesday shooting a 42-over-par 330 for a two-round total of 88-over 664 to finish in 18th place at the 18-team Central Region Fall Preview tournament played at the Adams Pointe Golf Club.
Central Missouri won the team title at 10-over 586, while Lily Nelson from Henderson State captured medalist honors at 4-under 140.
Isabella Jacobs had a strong tournament placing 27
th in the 90-player field with a 10-over 154. Jacobs recorded a pair of birdies and 10 pars on Wednesday for a career-low round of 4-over 76.
Carly Hamman tied for 63
rd overall with an 18-over 162, after recording a score of 11-over 83 on Wednesday with nine pars.
Berkley Steffen tied for 84
th at 28-over 172, following Wednesday's round of 14-over 86 with nine pars.
Meghan Pundsack shot a 13-over 85 on Wednesday with nine pars to finish in 87
th place at 32-over 176.
Allie Nedved rounded out SMSU's team play with four pars in the final round for an 18-over 90 to finish at 40-over 184.
SMSU will continue play next Monday and Tuesday competing at the Bemidji State Tracy Lane Memorial Tournament at Bemidji Town and Country Club.
