MARSHALL, Minn. - The Southwest Minnesota State University women's golf team concludes its season this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday competing at the 54-hole 13-team Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championship at Adams Point Golf Complex in Blue Springs, Mo.
The team with the lowest stroke total after the 54 holes will be crowned NSIC Champion and receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships.
Tournament play begins each day at 9 a.m. with tee times the first two rounds, followed by a shotgun start on Friday. SMSU's first tee time on Wednesday is set for 10:10 a.m.

Minnesota State won last season's team title shooting a 57-over 921 held at Paradise Pointe - Outlaw Course in Smithville, Mo.
SMSU finished ninth at the 2025 championship with a 136-over 1,000. Senior
Isabella Jacobs is SMSU's top returning finisher from last season after placing tied for 37
th with a 35-over 251. Senior
Berkley Steffen placed 44
th at 42-over 258, while senior
Meghan Pundsack tied for 52
nd at 56-over 272.
Jacobs leads SMSU in stroke average this season at 80.3 in 12 rounds with two top 10 finishes, while Pundsack ranks second on the team with an 83.8 average in 18 rounds, including one top 20 finish. Freshman
Carly Hamman and Steffen have both played 18 rounds with an 86.4 average to rank third on the team, with sophomore
Allie Nedved registering an 88.2 average in 18 rounds to rank fifth.
As a team, SMSU is averaging 337.1 strokes in 18 rounds.
SMSU has won six NSIC championships in program history with the last coming in 2005-06 season. A total of five Mustang golfers have won the NSIC individual title with Erin Oakland the last to do so in 2005.
