MINNEAPOLIS - Southwest Minnesota State placed 12 wrestlers, including a pair of champions, Saturday at the Augsburg Open in Minneapolis.

#A.J. Jenniges# went 4-0 in the Bronze Division at 133 pounds to take the title.  He had a pair of wins by major decision and another by fall en route to his top finish.

Carter Ash was a perfect 3-0 on the day at 285 pounds in the Bronze Division, winning two of his bouts by fall and the championship match by major decision.

A 2-1 day for Robert Morris earned the redshirt freshman a third-place finish at 133 pounds in the Bronze Division.

#C.D. Johnson# also had a 2-1 record on the day to take third-place honors at 184 pounds in the Gold Division.

Erik Berdahl wrestled his way to a third-place finish at 197 pounds in the Silver Division by putting together a 3-1 performance.

At 149 pounds in the Gold Division, Brandan Schunk locked down a fifth-place finish by posting a 2-1 record.

William Fate notched fifth-place honors at 174 pounds in the Silver Division, winning three bouts and dropping one.

Travis Frederikson, wrestling unattached, notched fifth-place honors at 165 pounds in the Gold Division.  He charted a 3-1 mark.

Demond Carter was a seventh-pace finisher 157 pounds in the Gold Division; he won his final two bouts after losing his opening tilt.

Saifemichael Kenea, wrestling unattached, captured an eighth-place finish at 133 pounds in the Silver Division, posting a 1-2 record.

Codie Lane, wrestling unattached, went 1-2 to take eighth-place honors at 141 pounds in the Silver Division.

At 157 pounds in the Silver Division, unattached wrestler Casey Field grabbed eighth place with a 2-2 campaign on the day.

SMSU returns to action on Dec. 5 when the Mustangs travel to Minnesota State Moorhead for the Dragon Open.
