ON DECK
The Southwest Minnesota State softball team (3-3) begins its seven-day trip to Clermont, Fla., where the Mustangs will face 11 different teams. SMSU will start games on March 8 against Bentley (Mass.) at 12 p.m. before playing East Stroudsburg (Pa.) at 2 p.m. The Mustangs will play nine other teams through the rest of the week and will return to Marshall on March 14.

SERIES HISTORY
Southwest Minnesota State will meet up with seven of the 12 teams in Clermont, Fla. The Mustangs will face Bentley University, St. Thomas Aquinas College, Queens College, University of St. Thomas and Marian University for the first time. SMSU will play St. Joesph's College, Lees-McRae College, East Stroudsburg, Ohio Dominican University, Northwood University, California University of Penn., and University of Central Missouri again.

THE COACH
Jamie Dunn is in her second season as head coach at Southwest Minnesota State University and has compiled a record of 18-33-1, including 12-17-1 in NSIC play. Prior to SMSU, Dunn spent the 2013 season as assistant coach at NCAA Division II Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, Colo., and three seasons as head coach at Fruita Monument High School.
