MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State wrestling team dropped its fourth straight match to No. 19 Upper Iowa, 25-8, in a conference dual on Friday night in the PE Gym.
 
SMSU (0-4, 0-3 NSIC) earned two bout victories on the night with a win by tech fall and decision, while UIU (5-4, 2-1 NSIC) picked up the remaining eight.
 
Justin Haneke earned his first conference victory over Upper Iowa's Ryan Roth. Haneke won by tech fall with a 21-4 victory.
 
Cortez Arredondo followed up the first bout victory of the night to pick up his third conference win with a 5-2 decision victory over Mac Spotts.
 
All four of UIU's nationally-ranked wrestlers earned victories at their respective classes: No. 7 Justin Folley (133), No. 8 Brock Benitz (165), No. 10. Dalton Hahn (184), and No. 9 Nick Baumler (197).
                                             
At 285, Petersen and Westerlund wrestled to double-overtime before Westerlund earned a take-down for a decision victory.
 
Southwest Minnesota State (0-4, 0-3 NSIC) hosts Augustana (2-1, 1-1 NSIC) tomorrow in the PE Gym at 2 p.m.
