MANKATO, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's and men's track & field teams wrapped-up competition at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference indoor championships with a pair of Mustang women earning All-NSIC honors.
The SMSU women's team closed the meet with 15 points and finished 11
th out of 14 teams, while the men's team scored 6.5 to place 11
th overall.
On Saturday, SMSU's
Nadia Sanford finished second in the shot put with a personal best and the second-best throw in program history at 14.0m to earn All-NSIC honors.
Sierra Clifford also earned All-NSIC accolades with a third-place finish in the 600-meters crossing the line with a school record time of 1:37.23.
SMSU's 4x400 relay team of Clifford,
Brooke Wetterstrom,
Ella Doble and
Macie Langstraat finished eighth overall at 4:02.88.
The men's team had
Peda Zeba finish eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.92.
