MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State wrestling team continues home competition this week with a home dual versus No. 11 (NJCAA) North Iowa Area Community College.
The dual is set to begin at 7 p.m., in the SMSU PE Gym.
SERIES HISTORY
• Tomorrow will be the first meeting between the two schools.
• SMSU earned a pair of victories over NJCAA opponents last season, winning a double-dual against Minnesota West and Ridgewater College.
LAST WEEK
• SMSU dropped a pair of NSIC duals to No. 7 Augustana and No. 1 St. Cloud State last week.
• The Mustangs fell 45-0 to the Vikings before dropping its dual to top-ranked SCSU 49-0.

• NIACC enters the week 2-1 in duals and No. 11 in the most recent (Dec. 10) NJCAA wrestling poll.
• The Trojans are also ranked No. 9 in the Open Mat poll and are tied for No. 24 in the InterMat poll.
• NIACC has three wrestlers ranked in the NJCAA ranks and four in the Open Mat ranks.
• In the NJCAA rankings, Cordell White is No. 1 at 149 pounds and Jessey Colas is No. 3 at 184 pounds, while MaCray Klohs ranks No. 9 at 197 pounds.
• In the Open Mat rankings, Luis Acevedo is No. 10 at 125 pounds while Cordell White appears at No. 1 again in the 149-pound class. Jessey Colas is No. 2 at 184 pounds and MaCray Klohs is No. 8 at 197 pounds.
