SMSU Loses First Conference Game

BISMARCK, N.D.: The Southwest Minnesota State softball team lost 1-0 on Sunday to Mary at the NSIC Crossover in Bismarck. The loss dropped SMSU to 29-8 overall and 13-1 in the NSIC.

Amanda Johnson suffered the loss on the mound. The junior threw all six innings and struck out seven.

The Mustangs managed just three hits in the game. Jessica Paczosa, Meaghan Laetsch and Amanda Opatz each had base hits for SMSU.
