MARSHALL Minn.- This Friday SMSU Esports Madden Team will compete in the first round of the NACE Madden NFL Playoffs at 7 p.m. where SMSU's
Matthew Hennen will be going up against Minnesota State's Cody Simek.
Hennen enters the post season with a record of 3-2. He earned his first victory off of a drop by Minnesota State. His next two games he would face Glenville State College and Fayetteville State University where he would lose both games.
Hennen would rally in the back half of the seas two wins in a row. The first being against Shenandoah University winning 2-1 and the second winning 2-1 against Northwood University. Where in the final game of the matchup Hennen would win 67-0, a good ending note for the regular season.
Hennen isn't the only Mustang to make the post season for the Esports team. FIFA player Thomas Adegbite will be playing next Wednesday in the quarter finals, he earned the number two seed going into the post season with a record of 5-1 giving him a first-round bye.
