MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State Esports Rocket League team defeated Concordia (Neb.) 3-0 (4-2, 2-1, 3-0) to pick up their second sweep of the season.
The Mustangs continued their strong showing on defense, by only allowing two goals in the series against Concordia (Neb.). Gavin Rohner (R0hner) and Sam Kleven (Revolutionwolf5) each had a few saves in the series, with 4 and 3 respectively, while Sean Sauve (KamiSean.) contributed 2 goals on the offensive end.
SMSU's esports team will return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 5, with a 6:00 Valorant matchup with Oklahoma City University and a 7:30 League of Legends matchup with Murray State college. The Rocket League team will resume play at 7:00 against Coe college on Friday, Oct. 7.
