SMSU Valorant drops consecutive matches to OCU to move to 1-2 on the year

MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State Esports Valorant team lost to Oklahoma City 0-2 (4-13, 7-13) to move to 1-2 on the season.  

Jackson Vierstraete (jJv) led the Mustangs with 26 kills, while Brandon Lyons (Wookie) had the least number of deaths with 24.  

The Mustangs will look to turn things around in Valorant at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, when they take on an undefeated (3-0) Keiser. The SMSU Esports team returns to action on Friday, Oct. 7 with a 6 p.m. CS:GO match against 1-0 Camden and the Rocket league team looks to hold onto the top spot in the Navigators Great Plains division at 7 p.m. against 1-1 Coe.
