MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University indoor track & field teams are back in action this Saturday competing at the University of South Dakota Alumni Meet in Vermillion.
 
The meet will begin at 10 a.m. and be held at the Mildred J. Hillenbrand Memorial Track inside the DakotaDome.
 
SMSU has several athletes ranking high in times and marks in the NSIC this season.
 
Men's 60m hurdles: Renald Pierre, 5^th, 8.30
Men's Pole Vault: Jed Hansen, 7^th, 4.55m
Men's Pole Vault: Hunter Smith, 13^th, 4.10m
Men's Triple Jump: Isaiah Nelson, 8^th, 13.68m
Men's High Jump: McKallen Smith, 12^th, 1.90m
Men's Shot Put: Carl Swedzinski, 15^th, 14.44m
Men's Weight Throw: Josh Kemp, 15^th, 15.97m
Men's Heptathlon: Zak Kubitz, 6^th, 4,120 points
 
Women's 60m hurdles: Isatu Shirek, 5^th, 8.96
Women's Pole Vault: Shealyn Tom, 15^th, 3.10m
Women's Shot Put: Nadia Sanford, 13^th, 12.65m
 
SMSU competed last Friday and Saturday at the Minnesota State Multi and Open with the Mustang teams combining to set five school records during the two days.
