ABERDEEN, S.D. – The first day of the 2022 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Swisher Activities Complex is complete as four events of the women's heptathlon and five events of the men's decathlon were contested on Thursday afternoon.
SMSU's
Isadora Mickelson competed for the Mustang women's team earning 2,318 points and is currently in 18
th place. For the SMSU men's team,
Blain Dilly recorded 2,750 points and is currently in 13
th place.
Mickelson ran 16.04 in the 100-meter hurdles to place ninth, finished 10
th in the shot put at 9.54m, was 16
th in the 200-meters crossing the line at 28.15 and placed 21
st in the high jump at 1.38m.
Dilly finished 10
th in the long jump at 6.01m, 10
th in the 100-meters at 12.04, 10
th in the high jump with a mark of 1.73m, 12th in the shot put at 8.81m and 13
th in the 400-meters with a time of 56.62.
Day two of the three-day meet continues Friday at 9 a.m. with the heptathlon and decathlon events. The running events will begin at 10 a.m. with field events starting at 12:30 p.m.
