FAYETTE, Iowa - The No. 22 ranked Southwest Minnesota State wrestling team fell to the No. 10 ranked Upper Iowa Peacocks inside Dorman Gymnasium by a final score of 41-0 on Sunday.
Carter Marx wrestled Jordan Lopez down to the wire, securing a pair of escapes but falling by decision with a final score of 3-2.

Jacob Dykes faced Jordan Baumler, Baumler scored a takedown in the final seconds of the match and won by 5-2 decision.
"Today we didn't get it done." Said second-year head coach

The Mustangs will return to action when they host a dual meet against the Augustana Vikings on Sunday, Jan. 29, inside the PE Gym. The dual with Augustana will be a brown out and the SAAC match of the year for SMSU.
