MARSHALL, Minn. - The Southwest Minnesota State University men's and women's cross country teams return to action this Saturday competing at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships in Minot, N.D.

The races will take place at the Souris Valley Golf Course with the men's 8,000-meter race starting at 10 a.m., followed by the women's 6,000-meter race at 11:15 a.m. The men's race will have 13 teams competing while 15 teams will run in the women's race.

SMSU sixth-year head coach
Kirk Nauman expects to have seven athletes compete in the men's race and 12 athletes in the women's race.

At the 2023 NSIC Championships in Bismarck, N.D., the Mustang women finished 13
th with 363 points, while the men's team finished 13
th with 416 points.

Augustana won the 2023 NSIC men's championship, while Winona State captured the 2023 NSIC women's championship.
