MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's and men's cross-country teams open the 2025 season on Friday competing at the 14th annual Augustana Twilight Meet in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The race will take place at Yankton Trail Park with the running path throughout certain parts of the course illuminated using glow sticks as well as lights from the soccer fields adjacent to Yankton Trail Park.
The women's 5K race starts at 8:30 p.m., followed by the men's 4-mile race at 9 p.m.

Kirk Nauman has nine athletes on the women's team, while the men's team has nine members. The women's team has one senior, one junior, four sophomores, one redshirt freshman and two true freshmen on the roster, while the men's team has one senior, one junior, three sophomores, and four true freshmen.
Friday's meet is one of four SMSU will compete in prior to the NSIC Championships on Oct. 24.
