SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Southwest Minnesota State University men's cross country team recorded 315 points and finished in 11th place at the 12-team Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships on Saturday at Yankton Trail Park.
Bashir Aidrus was SMSU's top finisher recording a 59th place finish out of 108 runners in the 8k race, with a time of 26 minutes, 36 seconds.
Glen Ellingson from Augustana University won the individual title for the second straight season with a time of 24:11. Augustana captured the team championships with 28 points, 19 points ahead of second place MSU Moorhead.

SMSU returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 5, at the NCAA Region Championships held at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls.
