SMSU Athletics

Carmen DeKoster (women's basketball/softball/track head coach, 1971-91) spent 19 seasons as the head women's basketball coach at SMSU and is the school's all-time leader in victories with 243.

DeKoster also led the team to a pair of conference championships, one NAIA District 13 title and two MAIAW Division II championships.

DeKoster also served as the head softball coach (1973-80) and women's track coach (1972).

DeKoster was inducted into the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Hall of Fame in 2000.
