SMSU Athletics Hall of Honor
Jim Stuewe (wheelchair basketball, 1969-72) was an early star on the school's wheelchair basketball teams and also had success at the international level.
Stuewe won a silver medal in the 100-meter dash and a gold medal as part of the 240-meter relay team in the World Paralympics held in Heidelberg, Germany.
Stuewe was the co-Most Valuable Player of the first SMSU wheelchair basketball team in 1969-70 and repeated as MVP in both 1970-71 and 1971-72.
