SMSU Athletics Hall of Honor
Kevin and Karla Anundson (community members) are long-time avid supporters of SMSU and Mustang Athletics.
Kevin and Karla are active members of the SMSU athletic community, involved not only in Mustang Booster Club activities, but also with many programs involving SMSU student-athletes, coaches and staff members.
The Anundsons have helped coordinate Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) meetings each week on campus and help organize speakers to meet with the group. Both have volunteered on numerous Mustang Booster Club committees, while Kevin volunteers with in-game field operations during SMSU football games.
Kevin and Karla are active members within numerous groups in their community, including Rotary, Lions, and Bethel Church in Minneota. They also volunteered in 2006 with SMSU student-athletes with clean-up and recovery for Hurricane Katrina.
For their efforts of the years, Kevin and Karla were honored with the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Noel Olson Volunteer of the Year award in 2013.
Kevin and Karla were both student-athletes at SMSU, with Kevin a member of the football team, while Karla was a cross country runner. Karla was an all-conference honoree and also qualified for the NAIA National Championships in 1986.
